Area B (Fort Steven State Park. Warrenton, Oregon) was on big time yesterday. Travis and l had a blast.  Just as we predicted, the soaring condition was much better than the day before.  Lifts were more widespread and balanced . None of the downwind speeding kind of nerve-wrecking feelings as on Sunday. Travis landed on top a couple of  times.  We climbed over 200 ft at the north side with high steep dunes and completed a lot of ground skimming, hovering , chasing close to each other. Also made several trips to the shipwreck down the south side.  Few paragliders were kiting at the shipwreck area. The windspeed was steady between 15-18 mph with perfect straight in direction all day, no rain in sight but on/ off sunshine and warm temps. We started flying in the morning and decided to call it off around 6:30 pm due to exhaustion. It was still soarable when I left around 7:30pm. Just wished more hangs & bags joined us yesterday. Too much video footage captured, will take some time to sort it out before posting. Stay tuned!

Had a great time soaring Area B (Fort Steven State Park. Warrenton, Oregon) with hang glider Travis and a group of PGs from noon to sunset today. The forecast was calling for light SW 5-10 mph winds which wasn't an ideal direction (too cross), plus too weak for dune soaring but we've decided to go anyway with plans to spend the night there. With the conditions being iffy, I didn't bother to post plans of coming out today. Turns out the forecast was correct ( too cross and weak );however, as you can see from the video/pics (upload later)  it was on for everyone.

3 hours flight at Dog Mt. / Elk/ Cliff/ Waterfall (Glenoma, WA) 06-03-20

Seven  hangs had a great flights at Dog today! We all launched between 4 - 4:30 pm. Everyone were able to make it to Elk and got over 3K.  Neil C, Tim C , Vincent C and myself flew down to the Cliff and were able to go further down past the waterfall.  Max altitude was between 3,200 to 3,400ft , mostly west and WSW 15-20 mph winds.  Tomorrow should be good too, but I'm too tired to fly again after 3 hrs and 20 minutes flight today. Happy flying to you all tomorrow!  Btw, thanks to Bob and Neil for time spent cleaning up launch with the cutting of bushes and weeds. Your volunteered service is much appreciated!

 Pilots Attended: Ron B, Tim C, Tom M, Bob H, Neil C, Vincent C, Rick L.
